Born and raised LDS in Utah, she joined the military after High School, and has since lived in California, Texas, New York State, and New Jersey. The oldest of many sibliings, she is the proud aunt of numerous nieces and nephews from Oregon to Florida.
An avid genealogist, Corey searches for more than dates, names, and places—hoping to uncover the stories and real lives of her research subjects. Reading history books and old newspapers, she tries to put herself in the times and places of family members gone before, hoping to understand her own heritage and purpose.
For recreation, Corey combines visiting friends with combing archives, county buildings, and cemeteries around the US. Corey loves to take pictures—outdoors and nature, historic buildings, and distinctive neighborhoods she passes through.
A remnant of catering work past, Corey loves food, and welcomes the opportunity to share a meal and meet new people.
Various opportunities in church have included working in the Primary Presidency, Young Women’s Camp Leader, Relief Society teacher, Nursery, and Family History Consultant.
Corey Howard currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband.
